Zombie Walk!!
We live close to the OH/PA border. Pittsburgh held the World Record holding Zombie walk until last year and are looking to take it back! We're big movies fans and love everything horror so this is something we love to check out! We weren't able to go this year with no money but it's a really cool thing so I can't leave it out! Monroeville is a town just outside of Pittsburgh and it is also the place that the original Dawn of the Dead was made. If you're a horror fan and you ever get the chance it's something you should definitely check out! Anyway, the Monroeville mall has been the place they have held the Zombie walk until this year, clearly with a World Record Title there are a lot of Zombies out there. The mall got too small to fit and things are moving to downtown Pittsburgh. You can check out the info here at World Zombie Day.
I think it's pretty awesome!! Zombies of the world unite!!

Stuffed Jalapeno's
DB lost his job a year and a half ago and it's been really hard here, so when he got this new one I figured it was good cause for celebration!! We don't have the extra money to go out to dinner or do anything for that matter so I made a big dinner at home. DB is a big fan of all things spicy so when I was flipping through some channels bored one day I saw Bobby Flay making Stuffed Jalapeno's, I quickly searched the recipe and saved it for our celebration. We have a Jalapeno plant out back so I got to use our fresh ones instead of having to buy, I was excited!
You stuff them with a yummy cream and goat cheese filling and
For dessert DB talked me into this Pumpkin Spice Jell-O pie he saw the recipe for on a store display. I'm usually a do it yourself kind of kid but he really wanted to try this so I figured why not. I love bake pies, cookies, everything but this time we bought a graham cracker crust. *sigh* It saved on time though!
You mix two packs of Pumpkin Jell-O and put half in the bottom of graham cracker crust.
Fill the next half with a cup and a half of Cool Whip and mix.
Put this on top of the first Jell-O layer.
After you have your two layers you put the remaining Cool Whip on top and that's it. Simple, easy, done!I love pumpkin anything so I was a little excited about this and it's delicious! If you like pumpkin like I do you have to try it!!
Mail this week!
Playing catch-up isn't easy! Trying to get a yard sale together, DB starting a new job and all things in between left cleaning my house and posting here fall by the wayside. Now it's time for a game of catch-up and it's not really fun. I will post for you lovely ladies who come check out what I have to say first (cause you're awesome!) Then I have to get to cleaning. First up is this weeks mail!
Not too bad, I think most of it actually came in the span of 2 days. I love mail, especially when it's not bills!!

Relax & Surf Sunday

If you're from the hop thank you so much for stopping by! If you decide to follow please leave me a comment so I know where to follow you back!! I hope everyone is having a great weekend, ours has been long but pretty good. The yard sale was a definite fail but at least we attempted. My body is trying to make up for all the sleep I lost this week and I'm not in the mood to stay in bed for a day or two to catch up. How do you function when you're exhausted?!
