Monday Hops
Thank you so much for stopping by! Monday already, the weeks have been flying by. If you decide to follow please leave me a comment so I know where to follow you back!
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
It's been another busy weekend 'round here. My family had a huge Halloween party last night that DB sadly wasn't able to attend..new job..but we need the money. I got to go, it was a lot of fun! Hayrides, lots of food, cards, scavenger hunts..yup, fun!
Today, had to go to the store (last minute candy) and now we have to clean the yard...damn leaves. While they are beautiful on the trees I don't like them all over my yard. It seems we didn't get to them soon enough because I just raked them into 4piles mountains in the front yard alone. I better get back out there before DB screams!
I just wanted to wish everyone a HAPPY HALLOWEEN! Stay safe!

I'm addicted....
Do you remember Dr. Mario?! I was a little kid when it came out but I remember playing with my mom, I love it! DB and I have an old school Nintendo we play quite often (nothing beats old school) and of course we have all the other systems up to the Wii.
On the Wii there is a console game you can download on the internet, I think it was like 5 dollars. DR. MARIO! I love it, I love it!! When I get bored and play..I cannot stop! You can play individual OR play online against other people. I love to play online! Do you play Dr. Mario or did you play on NES?!
I hope everyone has a great start to their Saturday!

Activity Options
I received a message from Green Door Girl over at Green Door Designs that I should share the options I have for activites and see what you all think. That sounds like a really good plan!
So here are the activities they have available that sound fun to me:
It says you have to label them from 1 to 10, 1 being the activity you are most interested in. It doesn't specify how many activities we will be able to do but I'm guessing atleast a couple. What do you think?!
Thanks for the suggestion Green Door Girl!
So here are the activities they have available that sound fun to me:
- Dogsledding
- Archery Adventure
- Ice Fishing
- Snowmobile Intro
- Snowmobile Trail
- Tubing

Another rainy day...
It's been pouring down rain all day!! It's outrageous and I'm tired of it, it's like 77 degrees and rain? Why hit me with the rain too..I love when it's nice out, I love to be outside and for the past couple weeks we were lucky if it was 50. So Mother Nature, I'd like to take my Indian Summer with a dose of Sunshine if you don't mind!
On the other hand I got the most lovely thing from FedEx today...remember the trip I won to Montana?! Yeah, I got another folder in the mail today that our trip will be January 22 through 25 and papers to fill out sizes. Sizes?! We have to fill out sizes for clothes, shoes, gloves, jackets, hats and whatever else they're going to give us, I'm stoked! I also have papers to fill out for what activities we want to do while we're there. I'm super excited about activities but there are 10 and I have to choose? Alright, alright so I'm not really interested in an adventure trek down a freaking zipline and I'm not really digging a wilderness tour and backcountry orienteering mm..I'm not so sure yet. But, they have activities that I don't want to miss like dogsledding, that's awesome, snowmobiling, who wouldn't, and ice fishing, I love to fish! So, you see my dilemma? 7 activities I have to number in the order which I am most interested...maybe 6 I don't know about cross-country skiing, but it sounds fun! Oh well, I'll wait for DB to get home so I can ask him what he thinks and he will no doubt tell me "It's up to you!". The luxury of having decisions I'm incapable of making fall upon me daily!

Mail Time Monday
I had quite a few samples come in the mail last week. But my favorite was this beautiful rug.
Remember the rug I told you about, the rug that I won from a sweepstakes at Shaw Flooring? That's it! I'm so excited, this rug is incredibly soft, super cute and much bigger than I expected. It's larger than a door mat which is exactly what I thought it was...until I unwrapped it. I can't wait to start decorating for Christmas and be able to display my adorable new rug!

Please help...Pet Photo?
I was checking out my blog roll and it seems a lot of the ladies are posting about the Pet Photo Contest and I was thinking about what pictures I have. I think all my animals are adorable but then again of course I do, they're mine. So I wondered what do you think about the photo of Jelly Bean in the blanket I posted before
I mean that's my cat and I think she's adorable but is it "cute pet" or too blanket monster? I would love to enter it but I wanted to ask everyone's opinion first!
What do you think?

Tuesday Hops
Seriously?!
I walked into the kitchen a little while ago and this is what I found
I'm not surprised. No matter how many beds..houses...things to play with and places to sleep they always pick the most ridiculous spot like this cardboard box from the yard sale that hasn't made it's way to the basement yet. Her eyes are gunky because she has pretty severe allergies and I didn't get a chance to clean them yet.
Then there's the damn shapeshifter that's been running around here
Jelly Bean makes me nervous sometimes...her eyes always glow.

Stuffed Pepper Soup
It's getting colder and colder here, we had a beautiful in the 70's weekend and now we're back to like 62 so it's a little chilly. I really need to go to the grocery store and my aunt's house but my ribs feel funny. Every time I twist or bend it's kind of like an air pocket, I hope I just slept weird or something, I hate being sick! Anyway, since I have a few things to do this is pretty easy just prepare and make it in the crock-pot. You can make it in a big pot if you want and it's alot faster but sometimes I just like to be able to prepare and walk away. If you haven't had it you have to try! If you like Chili and Stuffed Peppers it's like a combination, sort of.
Stuffed Pepper Soup
2 lbs ground beef
2 quarts of water (I use about 1.5)
28 oz. can diced tomatoes (don't drain)
28 oz. can tomato sauce
2 cups cooked long-grain rice (1 cup uncooked)
2 large green peppers---chopped
2 beef bullion cubes
2 tbsp brown sugar
2 tsp salt
2 tsp pepper
Brown your beef and cook your rice (I just microwave the rice)
Chop the green peppers
Ok so the truth is...I don't like ground beef, I don't like hamburgers, though I will eat them sometimes, I hate ground beef so for this I have been known (like today) to use half the hamburg and double the peppers. I used 1 pound of hamburger and 4 green peppers but don't tell DB! No one has ever noticed and this recipe makes 16 servings, I don't think it's ever been skimpy on beef.
Add all your ingredients into your crock-pot or your large pot
If you're going to make it stove top get the ingredients to a boil then reduce the heat, cover and cook for 30-40 minutes.
In a crock-pot I turn the heat on high for an hour or two and then low for the rest of the day. Your beef and rice are already cooked so you can really eat this as soon as you want(if you like crunchy green peppers) but to each his own. We usually start digging into after about 4 hours, but it's also alright to make it first thing in the morning and just leave it sit all day on low. If you make it let me know if you love it!
